What does a skin supplement really cost? Clear+ vs separate supplements and a GP visit

Euromunten naast drie bruine supplementpotjes en een witte zak op lichtblauw papier

Short answer: Clear+ costs around €0.75 to €1.70 a day. The exact amount depends on how many months you order at once. A subscription gives you 20% off. Buying separate supplements with the same ingredients isn't much cheaper per day, and you could end up taking eight pills instead of two. Seeing your GP is another option, for a different situation: a supplement can't replace medical care, and medical care isn't the same as a supplement.

You've read the reviews. You understand how it works. But you're still wondering: is it expensive? Would you be better off buying zinc from a pharmacy? Or going straight to your GP? Fair questions. Here, we compare the options honestly: what you pay, what you get and what makes sense for you.

At a glance

  • Clear+ costs around €0.75 to €1.70 a day, depending on how much you order.
  • Separate supplements with the same ingredients cost roughly the same per day, but mean taking a lot more pills.
  • With separate supplements, you risk doubling up on ingredients or getting the balance wrong.
  • Your GP is the right place to go if you have lots of painful spots or scarring. A supplement isn't a substitute.
  • With the 90-day guarantee, you can get your first order refunded if Clear+ isn't right for you.

What does it actually cost per day?

One pouch of Clear+ lasts a month. You take two capsules a day. What you pay per day depends on how you order:

One month
About €1.50 to €1.70 a day
Three months at once
About €1 to €1.20 a day
Six months at once
About €0.75 a day
With a subscription
20% off, and you can skip or cancel whenever you like

These prices are from September 2026. You'll always find the current price on the Clear+ product page. Orders under €50 have a €4.95 delivery charge. Delivery is free above that.

To put that in perspective, it's less than a takeaway coffee a day. And it's often less than people spend each month on serums, masks and cleansers they replace after a few weeks.

What are you already spending?

Before deciding a supplement is “expensive”, it helps to look at what you're spending now. Many people who order from us have already tried a long list of products. These are the costs we see most often:

  • Skincare. A serum or specialist cream can easily cost €20 to €40 and last a month or two. Many people use several at once.
  • Treatments. An appointment with a beauty therapist or skin specialist often costs €50 to €100. And you usually need more than one.
  • Switching products. The biggest expense often isn't one product. It's trying something new every time the last thing “doesn't work” after three weeks.

That doesn't mean you need to stop any of those things. A good, simple skincare routine is still worthwhile. But it puts a supplement that costs around a euro a day into perspective. Especially if it helps you stick with one routine instead of constantly switching.

“I'll just buy zinc from the pharmacy”

You can. Zinc is one of the key ingredients in Clear+, and you can buy it separately. But Clear+ contains more than zinc. To put together the same ten ingredients yourself, you'd need:

  • zinc (20 mg a day)
  • vitamin B5 or pantothenic acid (500 mg)
  • vitamin A (900 µg)
  • spearmint extract (200 mg)
  • vitamin C (50 mg)
  • vitamin D3 (25 µg)
  • vitamin E (8 mg)
  • selenium (100 µg)
  • copper (2 mg)
  • black pepper extract or BioPerine (5 mg)

A quick note on those units: mg means milligrams, or thousandths of a gram. µg means micrograms, which are a thousand times smaller still. So you only need a tiny amount of some ingredients.

Add up the prices of separate supplements and the daily cost can quickly come out about the same. Sometimes a little cheaper, sometimes more expensive. But the money isn't the biggest difference. These are the practical downsides:

  • Eight to ten pills a day. One tablet for each ingredient. That's hard to keep up for months.
  • Doses that don't match. Separate supplements come in different strengths. One zinc tablet has 10 mg; another has 25 mg. Vitamin B5 often comes in a different strength from the one you're looking for.
  • Doubling up. Add a multivitamin and you may get some ingredients twice, including zinc and vitamin A. More isn't always better.
  • The balance of zinc and copper. Taking a lot of zinc for a long time can reduce how much copper your body absorbs. That's why Clear+ also contains copper in a carefully considered ratio. With separate supplements, you need to account for that yourself.
  • No guarantee. If your DIY mix doesn't work for you, you've still spent the money.

I'd tried all sorts of things, creams, treatments, worked out my own supplements, but then there were so many I had to take every day.. then I came across Cloudless, I was glad there was one supplement with everything in it … I've been taking it for 3 months now and my skin has never looked this good.. … Great products, I'd recommend them to anyone!

What about a multivitamin?

A multivitamin costs less per day. But it's a different product. It's designed to give you a little of everything, often around 100% of your daily requirement. For vitamin B5, that's 6 mg. Clear+ contains 500 mg as part of a formula focused on your skin.

We don't recommend taking a multivitamin and Clear+ together, because you'd double up on some ingredients. So it's a choice between a broad nutritional safety net and a targeted formula. Read more in Multivitamin or skin supplement: what's the difference?

What about seeing your GP?

This is the comparison we hear most: “Why don't I just go to my GP?” The honest answer: that's a very good idea if your skin is causing you a lot of trouble. But it's a different route, for a different purpose.

Here's what you can expect from a GP, according to Thuisarts:

  • Usually a gel or cream first. For example, one containing benzoyl peroxide, adapalene or tretinoin. At first, your skin may become drier, flaky or feel irritated.
  • Sometimes tablets too. For example, antibiotics, usually for no more than three months. Or, for women, the contraceptive pill.
  • Patience. Even with medication, you usually won't see an improvement for 4 to 6 weeks, or for 3 to 4 months with the contraceptive pill.

In the Netherlands, a GP visit doesn't cost you extra: it isn't subject to your health insurance excess. Medicines from a pharmacy usually are. In 2026, the annual excess is €385.

The difference is what you're looking for. Medication is intended to treat a skin condition, usually for a set period. Clear+ is a food supplement: it gives your body nutrients every day. Zinc contributes to the maintenance of normal skin. Vitamin A contributes to the maintenance of normal skin too. So it doesn't have to be one or the other. Many customers use Clear+ alongside care from their GP, or as part of their daily routine after treatment ends.

What do you get for your money with Clear+?

There's more to a supplement than its ingredients. You're also paying for:

  • Ten ingredients together. In carefully considered amounts, so you don't have to work out the doses or combine them yourself.
  • Every amount listed on the label. No mystery “blend” that leaves you guessing how much is in it.
  • Independent lab testing. Every batch is tested by Eurofins for heavy metals and microbiological quality.
  • Made in the Netherlands. And vegan.
  • Quick support. Got a question? We usually reply within 24 hours.
  • A 90-day guarantee. On your first order. More on that below.

How to pay less

Want to give Clear+ a fair try without paying more than you need to? Here are the smartest ways:

  • Choose a subscription. You get 20% off and a new pouch when you need it. Choose delivery every month, every two months or every three months. You can skip a delivery or cancel in your account whenever you like.
  • Order several months at once. The more months you order, the lower the daily cost. And your skin needs a few months anyway.
  • Take it every day. It might sound like an odd way to save, but the most expensive supplement is one you only take now and then. You still pay for it, without giving it a fair chance.

Is it worth the money?

Only you can answer that, after a few months. That's why we've made it as simple as possible to find out without taking much of a financial risk.

On your first Clear+ order, take it every day for 90 days. Not happy after that? Let us know between day 90 and day 100, through your account or by email. Send back all the pouches, including the empty ones. We'll refund your purchase price minus the cost of the return label. Original delivery charges aren't refunded.

That means your main financial risk is a few euros in return costs. In exchange, you get three months to see what Clear+ does for your skin.

And if it's right for you? You don't have to keep searching. Many customers have used Clear+ for over a year, simply as part of their breakfast routine. Your skin makes new cells every day and needs nutrients to do that.

When to see your GP

Saving money is good, but not at the expense of your skin. See your GP if you have lots of painful, deep or large spots, if they leave scars or dark marks, or if they're seriously affecting your confidence. Don't wait three months first. You can use Clear+ alongside medical care, but let your GP or pharmacist know if you're prescribed medication.

Frequently asked questions

Why does Clear+ cost more than a zinc supplement?

Because it contains more. As well as zinc, Clear+ has nine other ingredients, including 500 mg of vitamin B5, vitamin A and spearmint extract, in carefully considered amounts. Every batch is also tested by Eurofins.

Do I have to subscribe?

No. You can place a one-off order. A subscription gives you 20% off, though, and ensures your next pouch arrives when you need it.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes. You can skip a delivery or cancel your subscription in your account whenever you like.

How much is delivery?

Delivery costs €4.95 on orders under €50. It's free above that. Delivered in 2–4 working days.

Wouldn't a multivitamin be better?

A multivitamin gives you a little of everything. Clear+ is focused on your skin, with, for example, 500 mg of vitamin B5 rather than 6 mg. It's best not to take them together, as you'd double up on some ingredients.

What if I'm not happy with it?

You can get your money back. For your first order, take Clear+ every day for 90 days, then contact us between day 90 and day 100. You'll find the full terms in our refund policy.
